Blacks in the Revolutinary War: Facts

• The Black people had to pick sides and the sides were Neutarl or Loyalist.
• For the African Americans what mattered most was freedom.
• The British actively recruited slaves (the slaves were Black people)
• More Blacks fought in this war.
• An estimated 100,000 African Americans escaped, died, or were killed during the American Revolution.
